Tales from the East

We just got back from our trip back East.  It was amazing, wonderful, and perfect.  We are exhausted and happy to be home.

We toured the capitol building and loved it, though Steffani almost got arrested for "protesting" by sitting down.  She thought they were kidding; they weren't.

We loved the Natural History Smithsonian, especially this angler fish.

Matt took us to an amazing restaurant for dinner, though the boys didn't love the art selections.

We had to pass this every day as we walked back to Matt's.

Matt's awesome apartment!  Things only got bad when Cy had to sleep with a towel because Matt shipped all of his bedding to Russia!  Good thing he doesn't use blankets anyway!

The Vietnam Memorial was somber and amazing as we thought about all these people had given up--families, young wives, and life.

The boys' favorite thing we did was go up in the Washington monument.

We got to take Brandon and his companion to lunch in Vienna, Virginia.  It was awesome.

Why is it cracked?  Why is it famous?  We don't really know.  Just look at it quickly and hurry out of here.  We've got to a Philly cheesesteak and get out of dodge!
