Getting Ready for Baptism

Cy is getting ready for Baptism.  For Family Home Evening tonight, we talked about the Holy Ghost and the wonderful blessings that this gift brings into our lives.  Here Cy is trying to hold all of them.

The Holy Ghost will warn you (like the whistle).
He will comfort you (hence the comforter).
He will bring all things to your remembrance (the cap on your head).
He will guide you in the way to go (like the compass).
He will sanctify and purify you (like fire).

We also showed each of the kids two cans of soda.  One was filled and one was empty.  Which one do you suppose is easiest to crush?  They stomped on the empty one and crushed it easily.   We explained that is just like us with the Holy Ghost.  If we are filled with the Holy Ghost, Satan cannot crush or harm us or lead us to evil.  If we are empty and don't have the Holy Ghost, he can.  It was a fun night.
